Marley: A Sweet Addition to Your Doll Collection
As an artist, I often find myself on the restless search for new challenges. When I started sculpting Marley's head for the latest "M" series dolls, I decided to embark on a new adventure...
The Journey of Creativity
The creation of Marley took me on a journey of artistic exploration where I bought a bunch of new equipments for my studio and dove into silicone mold making and resin casting from scratch!
I started with a polymer clay sculpture, that I prepared for the silicone mold, I also created a new pair of hands. Then I started casting in different resin until I found the one that I loved. This material is amazing, keeps a slightly translucent finish with a hint of shining that gives the sculpt a soft satin finish look.
New options for your preorder
Marley's creation was not just about sculpting a doll; it was about pushing the boundaries of my own creativity. That's why I want to open my preorder options to a new kind of doll, casted here in my studio with a special translucent resin, in a brand new color and in limited edition of only 5 Artist's pieces.
I will still offer Marley as an open edition reproduced by the factory, made with the same opaque resin that you all know and love, this time in the new peach color.
To summarize all the options available for Marley's preorder I invite you to read carefully the infographic below, It will give you an exact idea of what to expect when ordering this doll, whichever way you decide to go.
