The beauty of tiny things, a new doll is coming!

When I got back from BJDC 2026, I was ready to dive into something more intricate and fulfilling than just creating a new head. I wanted to make a doll that would give me that nostalgic feeling of being a kid again, playing with my favorite toy, while also being something I could proudly display behind glass on the cabinet shelf with all my treasured items.

I was aiming for small and delicate, like a flower or a tiny jewel, an innocent face with big curious eyes ready to explore the world and its beauty.

There's beauty and kindness all around us, and just because the microphones and spotlights often focus on negative topics doesn't mean all the good stuff has disappeared.

So how can i channel in 20 little pieces of resin all these feelings?

That's when I started sculpting a new head. I played around with that "digital" ball of clay, letting my imagination and emotions take over instead of logic. And then this adorable face appeared, looking at me from the screen and begging to be printed!

Now I have the head, too cute to not have her own body, I want something slender, teenage kind of style, but I want to be able to shop around for clothes and shoes, so why not choosing the popular Blythe size?

But I want it to be posable, well balanced, easy to play with, and this part requires a lot of designing, prototype and corrections, that explain my absence for a few weeks from social media because I have to be focused on this new body, no time for instagram updates or Facebook shenanigans....

And I finally decided this configuration was the one:

• double jointed elbows and knees

• a new system for the hip joint

• thights that can rotate

• and the tiniest little hands and feet.

She's just adorable and tiny, so now I need to find the perfect name for her.

've been through tons of options, but I won't bore you with the list.

While walking the dogs this morning, I saw a field of wildflowers, and a name just came to me: Camomilla.

Camomilla (ka-mo-MEEL-lah) is Italian for Chamomile. It's not just a beautiful flower; it's also a fantastic ingredient for my relaxing tea. This little doll is going to be all about tiny beauty and calmness.

Who dosen't need that! :)

So now I want to introduce her to you properly, please welcome Camomilla!

Measurements

• height - 9 inch / 23 cm

• head circ. - 4.5 inch / 11.5 cm

• eyes - 10 mm

• foot - 2.5 x 1 cm

• neck to wrist - 3 inch / 7.5 cm

• bust - 3 inch / 7.5 cm

• waist - 3 inch / 7.5 cm

• hips - 4 inch / 10 cm

• waist to knee - 3 inch / 7.5 cm

• waist to ground - 6 inch / 15 cm

Since Camomilla head is pretty small, I wanted a wig that looks natural, so I decided to make a custom one with viscose fibers. These fibers are super thin, and I think they work better for this size than the thicker mohair.

For a first try, I'm really liking it, and I've got more styles and colors in mind that I can't wait to experiment with soon.
