Maggie is the new smiley face for the popular 10 inches body.
She's cute as a button and won't fail to put a smile on your face too.
I sculpted Maggie after sketching the expression on a piece of paper sitting on my desk,
and suddenly I was sure that would have been a cute addition to the “M” dolls.
What are the “M” dolls?
Well, everything started with Martha, the first of the series, then came Mia, Melody, Momo and Millie... Now it's Maggie.
I started with the paperclay sculpt, which takes several days to be completed because the clay has to be dry between the different steps of modeling (the constant rain of the Pacific Northwest doesn't help 🙃). Then I prepared the piece for the silicone mold and casted the prototype piece in resin and made the face-up.
Many of you already have at least one of these dolls in your collection and I’m so grateful for your support ❤️
I hope this recap helps to clarify how I create and categorize my creations and where the different doll faces belong.
Maggie is now available for pre-order in the shop www.lindamacariodolls.com
In the next blog post I will show how to sew a dress for the M-series dolls. Stay tuned 😉
